Foundation For Interior Design Education Research
The Foundation for Interior Design Education Research was set up in 1970. Interior Designers of Canada gained a seat on the foundation’s Board of Trustees in 1985. FIDER was reorganized in 1999 into a Michigan nonprofit society with the support of the founding organizations, and it was designed to uphold productive connections with all “communities of interest.”

The 2006 show offered patrons the opportunity to consult one-on-one with design experts from ARIDO, Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario.

2006 Interior Design Show Toronto
The Interior Design Show is Canada’s principal forum for residential design. Both design professionals and consumers visit the IDS. The show presents unique design features and displays, a roster of globally celebrated speakers and special sections devoted to particular product categories, besides the hundreds of producers, vendors and distributors who exhibit their products and services.

There were some innovative and eye-catching displays at the 2006 Interior Design Show in Toronto; chief among them was Karim Rashid’s Kit 24, a house that, as its name suggests, can be built from a kit.
